Polymer Capital Management

Polymer Capital Management is an Asia-focused private asset manager for institutional investors. Our headquarter is in Hong Kong, with offices across Asia. I'm representing the Risk & Quant Analytics department here, our projects cover risk analytics, quant research, program trading, and streamline/automate daily operation (including middle office, compliance, trading desk, etc.). That's a lot of topics to cover, so we are investing tons of resources in technology, and continuously hiring developers. Our organization is flat, we follow Agile & DevOps best practices, developers are expected to be self-managed, curious, and proactive. Our infrastructure is cloud based, AWS & GCP, with a mix of kubernetes & serverless setup. Our major languages are C# (Backbone), JavaScript/TypeScript (Front-End, Serverless), Python (Data Science). We want developers with good coding practices (unit tests, test-driven, CI/CD, infra as code), different industry backgrounds (tell me the unique technical challenges you tackled in your fields), not limited to financial background (you will learn all the math, statistical and financial knowledge in no time). Since we expect developers to cover projects end-to-end, we don't prefer developers who only want to do a single section, like front-end or back-end; who are not able to communicate in English, since you need to face users and discuss solutions with fellow developers (if you are really good, limited capability is acceptable)
