Role details
Responsibilities
- Undertake telephone and virtual app-based physiotherapy assessments and management of an individual clinical caseload
- Deliver timely, quality, medically correct and accurate notes/correspondence according to IPRS standards
- Deliver/advice on appropriate treatment aligned with evidence-based medicine and established guidelines
- Analyse information from current evidence and clinical reasoning to ensure correct and accurate patient care and recommendations reflecting IPRS Health Clinical Care Pathways
- Make case-by-case recommendations around treatment, onward referral, and appropriate clinical investigations
- Ensure further treatment, onward referrals, or investigations are reasonable using clinical reasoning, experience/knowledge, and current evidence
- Maintain and work towards key KPIs specific to the Virtual Physiotherapist role
- Act as a clinical point of contact for non-clinical personnel seeking clinical advice/information during telephone screening calls, client queries, and referrals
- Engage in clinical audit duties as directed by the Clinical Lead in line with the IPRS Clinical Audit Strategy
- Maintain individual professional development to stay current with clinical evidence and practice
- Deal with queries in a prompt and professional manner
- Prioritise work tasks and time manage to complete tasks accurately within set timescales
- Comply with the Corporate Data Protection Policy covering electronic data and manual filing systems
- Work with business development team on commercial tenders including presentations for prospective clients (as required)
- Work with IPRS Health Clinical Leads to ensure service provision responds to local/national initiatives and external policy/standards (CSP, HCPC standards, National Service Frameworks, NICE guidance)
- Contribute to development of new clinical initiatives and innovations
- Undertake other duties compatible with the grading of the post (as required)
Requirements
- HCPC-registered Physiotherapist
- Minimum of 3 years postgraduate working experience
- Experience working within UK healthcare system/settings
- Formal clinical qualification in physiotherapy
- Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience using computer software including Microsoft Office
- Experience using online/computerised reporting templates/databases and interpreting statistics for managing/reporting
- Experience undertaking telephonic/video triage calls (desirable)
- Experience of Clinical Triage, Clinical Report Checking and/or Clinical Audit (essential)
- Ability to work in a team to achieve best outcomes for patients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal and external customers
- Ability to time manage to meet agreed deadlines
- Ability to collate and produce statistics and reporting to Clinical Lead regularly
- Ability to provide detailed reporting using standardised report templates and the company database
- Ability to audit outgoing reports to ensure core clinical standards are maintained
- Understanding of the client and its needs
- Ability to maintain accurate medico-legal recording
- Ability to work with databases and Microsoft programmes

Description
MSK Physiotherapist Virtual role at IPRS Health. Remote role (must be based and working within the United Kingdom). Undertake virtual assessments of MSK patients and manage a caseload; deliver/advise on treatment in line with evidence-based medicine and established guidelines; maintain accurate notes/correspondence and meet role KPIs; act as clinical point of contact for non-clinical personnel; support clinical audit duties as directed.
