Role details
Responsibilities
- Frontend: help build the future of the platform by transitioning to a component-based system
- Build beautiful pages that visualize the story of ownership, power, and influence in the Chinese corporate world
- ML: level up entity resolution algorithms
- ML: expand use of LLM technology
- Build and own our nascent component-driven design system to drastically speed up our frontend engineering velocity
- Build out a semantic search experience on our platform to answer user questions faster
- Collaborate with our frontend team including full-stack engineers, designers and product managers to establish best practices from styling to system architecture
- Build visualization tools that are used across our platform to unlock insights into the Chinese economy
Requirements
- Frontend: significant React experience
- Frontend: experience with at least one React framework
- Frontend: prior experience building or contributing to a component-based design system
- Frontend: data viz work experience
- At least 5 years experience (8+ more likely)
- ML: training and deploying ML models in clustering problems
- ML: knowledge graphs or entity resolution or recommendation engines or cohort analysis or outlier/anomaly detection

WireScreen is a fast-growing Sequoia-backed Series A startup building the go-to open source intelligence platform for navigating global supply chains and China-related risk. The company is transitioning to a component-based system and building pages that visualize the story of ownership, power, and influence in the Chinese corporate world. The ML role will level up entity resolution algorithms and expand use of LLM technology. Frontend: significant React experience and experience with at least one React framework; prior experience building or contributing to a component-based design system and data viz work. ML: training and deploying ML models in clustering problems (knowledge graphs, entity resolution, recommendation engines, cohort analysis, or outlier/anomaly detection).
