Role details
Responsibilities
- Help organize team structure and communications workflows and improve internal processes and operational organization across Communications at Discord
- Coordinate between internal partners and cross-functional teams
- Triage and support incoming press requests
- Manage timelines, approvals, and stakeholder reviews across projects
- Maintain and organize talking points documents, messaging resources, and internal materials
- Coordinate external agency support and day-to-day coordination
- Track media opportunities, coverage, and ongoing communications priorities
- Support development of press materials, Q&As, briefing docs, and messaging
- Keep projects moving in fast-paced, high-volume situations with multiple stakeholders
Requirements
- 3+ years experience working in communications (in-house or agency)
- Strong organizational and operational instincts with ability to manage complex workflows
- Collaborative team player who can navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and fast-moving situations with good judgment
- Ability to move quickly, be resourceful, and deliver high-quality work

Description
Discord has a highly engaged community of millions of daily active users who use the platform for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does: play video games. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, you’ll help support and scale Discord’s communications efforts across corporate storytelling. Working with cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll support media inquiries and communications workflows, launches and cross-functional planning, and help freshen up, organize, and operationalize communications efforts including managing and updating talking points documents, improving internal processes, coordinating external agency support, and keeping teams aligned as projects move quickly. You’ll triage and support incoming press requests, manage timelines, approvals, and stakeholder reviews across projects, track media opportunities and communications priorities, support development of press materials (Q&As, briefing docs, messaging), and keep projects moving in fast-paced, high-volume situations. This is US-based and can be remote; if you live in the Bay Area, you can work from the SF office.
