Description
Orbit is an AI-first logistics operating system — order intake, route planning, carrier management, driver app, tracking, documents — replacing the Excel-and-phone stack that most transport logistics still runs on. The role (Product Engineer) is to own a piece of the product from idea to production: deciding the solution, building it, shipping it, iterating on feedback. The team uses spec-driven agentic development: orchestrating agents against structured specs and persistent project context, verifying output, and helping build the harness itself (skills, context layers, workflows, evals). The engineering focus is on judgment to direct agents to produce good software. Stack includes TypeScript everywhere, zod, tRPC, Node.js, AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB/ElectroDB, SST), React/Remix, React Native/Expo, and an AI layer via Bedrock. Culture is all-remote (EU), async-first, low-meeting, with writing as the most important skill. Profit sharing via "Own Orbit" program; quarterly meetups in Hamburg; team offsites ("SpaceWalks") wherever two or more Orbiters want to meet; Orbit covers the stay. Good English required; German is a plus. No cover letter; show something you built (side project, agent workflow, repo, MCP server) and explain how you work with agents.
