Role details
Responsibilities
- Address service work orders for PCs, laptops, cabling, televisions, projectors, phones, peripherals, and site security equipment
- Provide strong verbal and written communication skills (e.g., reporting)
- Run workshops for information collation
- Work on projects of moderately medium-complex scope and collaborate with intercompany teams
- Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures
- Assist with support of data center and application architecture
- Troubleshoot basic network issues
- Understand administering switches, routers, and firewalls with the assistance of the Nutanix Remote Resolver Team
- Assist with configuring routers and switches under guidance of the Nutanix remote resolver team
- Assist with integration and customization of hardware components on operating system and networks under guidance of the Nutanix remote resolver team
- Complete required training and achieve required pass rate before being sent to a site
Requirements
- Working technical knowledge to address service work orders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting
- Ability to run workshops for information collation
- Ability to work with intercompany teams
- Independent judgment within defined practices and procedures
- Basic networking troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of backup, tape, and exchange infrastructures
- Typically 2-5 years of experience
- Ability to assist with configuring routers and switches under guidance of the Nutanix remote resolver team
- Ability to assist with integration and customization of hardware components on operating system and networks under guidance of the Nutanix remote resolver team
- Complete a 1-hour online training course on basic Nutanix hardware replacement processes (provided free by Hemmersbach)
- Achieve a pass rate above 90% on the short 20 question test to be a Qualified Technician
- Partner must not send an FE to site that has not completed the training
