Blablacar connects drivers and passengers willing to travel together between cities and share the cost of the journey. The company has raised hundreds of millions of euros over the last decade and is profitable with a lot of room left for growth. The main technical challenges are optimizing matching algorithms, the addition of bus supply, and a rapidly growing tech organization that offers a lot of opportunities to learn. The stack is modern (mostly Java and PHP services running in Kube in GCP). We are hiring backend software engineers to build the future of the platform.
