Responsibilities
- Verify identification numbers or seals in deposit bag(s) and/or currency exchange shipments against accompanying receipts or manifests.
- Count items, record amounts and serial numbers, sign and date receipts and manifests.
- Load/unload rail cars or platform carts with coin/currency bags/boxes.
- Sort individual cargo items by route.
- Communicate verbally with coworkers and customers by phone.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to load/unload bags/boxes of banknotes, checks, and coins averaging 50 lbs per item multiple times during a 6 to 10 hour shift, 5 to 6 days a week.
- Ability to push rail carts/platform carts (“buggies”, “dollies”) loaded with cargo weighing up to several hundred pounds.
- Unrestricted ability to repeatedly bend, crouch, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist/turn over, and reach.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifts averaging 50 lbs each from the floor.
- Ability to continuously walk between containers, vaults, booths, and counters.
- Ability to stand on a concrete floor approximately 80% of the shift.
- Ability to sign and record numbers by hand and make log entries and prepare reports.
- Ability to count, add, subtract, and balance columns of numbers.
- Requires a valid firearms permit (Puerto Rico Firearms License).
- Successful completion of Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) tests in specified lift/push/coupling areas.

Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) tests required: - Lift/Vertical lift and carry combinations including lifting 25 lbs from 10 inches to 66 inches (1X) and other specified lift/carry/transfer distances and repetitions. - Push/Pull: horizontal transfer of 47 lbs of force on a sled (single arm, non-dominant) for 1 foot (2X). - Repetitive coupling: squeeze a Jamar hand dynamometer requiring up to 30 lbs force with both hands (4X).
