Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of international program partnerships for the LAC region to ensure effective delivery of FH Canada–funded initiatives aligned with the 2030 strategic focus on Partnering for Impact.
- Facilitate participatory program design, monitoring, and learning processes that center local voices.
- Support partnerships through regular communication and in-person visits to ensure clarity, accountability, and shared learning.
- Oversee program quality and compliance, including financial planning, performance monitoring, and reporting in alignment with FH Canada and donor requirements.
- Support grants and donor relations by providing relevant data and impact stories to engage institutional and private donors and support new funding opportunities (especially with Global Affairs Canada).
- Foster collaboration and learning by contributing to inter-partner knowledge exchange and thought leadership that advances faith-driven, community-centered approaches to development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, humanitarian response, or a related field (Master’s degree an asset).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in international development or humanitarian relief, managing or supporting program implementation.
- Proven knowledge and experience with results-based management and MEAL systems.
- Experience with one or more technical areas such as gender equality or food security.
- Experience with Canadian charitable regulations and GAC-funded programming is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and oral).
- Detail-oriented and data-savvy ability to synthesize both quantitative and qualitative information.
- Alignment with and commitment to FH Canada’s mission and values.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada and travel internationally.

PROGRAM OFFICER, LACAt FH Canada, we believe transformation happens when local communities are in the driver’s seat. As part of our International Programs team, you’ll help bring this vision to life by strengthening community-led initiatives that create tangible, lasting impact as our Program Officer, assigned to the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region.
