Carma
$175K–$450K total cash plus equity (2.0%–5.0%); Founding Head of Engineering: $300K–$450K + 3–5% equity; Founding Full-Stack Engineer: $175K–$275K + 2–3% equity.
Carma (YC W24) is an AI-native operating system for enterprise fleet operations. Fortune 500 construction, electrical, and disaster restoration fleets run thousands of commercial vehicles on their platform in production today. When a truck breaks down, gets recalled, or sits idle, our software detects it, builds the workflow, and drives it to resolution automatically. Ship a feature in the morning; a fleet manager in the field is using it within the hour. Technically interesting: real-world software with messy, adversarial data — telematics streams, OEM recall feeds, vendor invoices, DOT compliance — fused into workflows that AI agents execute. Incumbents ship on decade-old stacks. Carma raised a $5.5M seed from Y Combinator, Soma Capital, and the founders of Superhuman, and is driving toward a Series A. Onsite in SF six days a week, early-stage pace, high ownership and high expectations. Process is fast; strong candidates go from first conversation to offer in days, not months. Two founding roles, both heavy on ownership: 1) Founding Head of Engineering: hands-on technical leader; majority of time writing production code; owns architecture, standards, and technical direction. Explicitly not a people-management track. Salary $300K–$450K + 3–5% equity. 2) Founding Full-Stack Engineer: owns product surfaces end-to-end from ambiguous problem statement → scoped design → shipped to enterprise users. Salary $175K–$275K + 2–3% equity. Email suleyman@joincarma.com with 2–3 lines on the hardest system you've shipped end-to-end. We reply to every thoughtful email within 24 hours.

SHINE
$150-170k
No one should die from having sex. SHINE’s going to prompt people to take their HIV medication and, by doing so, zero their ability to spread HIV, effectively ending the epidemic before moving to many other diseases and extending millions, maybe billions, of lives. This is the second company for our two Co-Founders, who have built together for the last 8 years, creating the most effective HIV testing organization in the US. One, our CEO, was recently sworn into President Biden’s HIV Council, and the other, our CMO, recently completed his medical residency at Harvard. You’ll be our third teammate and first engineer. We’re early stage (finalizing our pre-seed round now), and you’ll have heavy impact on the technical roadmap of the product. We like to live in the intersection of helping people and having fun; love messing around, but are never messing around, and have a long track record of building industry newests and bests. We’re excited to build, learn, and grow together with a phenomenal new teammate. Here is our current technical stack: - Frontend: React JS, Tailwind, TypeScript, Vite - Backend: NestJS, Prisma ORM, Auth0, Docker - Server/DevOps: Ubuntu, NGINX, CI/CD, Kubernetes (nice to have),
